      Hello,
      thanks for your message.
Yes, they started the Mirage VL series with the 805P chip and later also produced cards with the 805i chip (they are pin compatible) but of course the card did not benefit from the memory interleaving feature because it just has one bank of DRAM and the interleaving requires two banks.

      Regards
      Fabian

        Hello Fabian,

Unfortunately, I have to contradict your statement for the time being.
I now own a Jaton VL41C / V5 and while researching the card I found out that there are no VLB cards (known to me) that use the 805i-P. I have only identified the ISA versions of the Winner 1000 in this context.
The Jaton mentioned (as V5) seems to me to be the only one at the moment and is significantly faster in RAM transfer than those with the 805-P.
I once owned a Mirage VL myself (exactly like yours) and it wasn’t an „i“ version. So you are welcome to remove the sticker as proof. 😉

        greeting
        Mathias

          Hello again,

I have to clarify my statement again – because it is not entirely correct.
I was referring to the 805i-P. In fact, this appears very rarely.
With the Mirage VL (P64 R31), however, I am very sure that only the 805-P is installed here.

          greeting
          Mathias
